- In busy cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, expect heavy traffic. Be prepared to navigate crowded streets and follow local traffic patterns when crossing the road.
- Some accommodations may be basic but are clean and comfortable. The swimming pools may not meet Western standards, but they are adequate for relaxation.
Important notes: - Local people and tourists may want to take photos with children, particularly if they have light features (such as blonde hair and blue eyes). This is common, and they may approach without asking permission.
- Please note that international flights to and from the destination are not included in the trip price.
- Transfers are provided to/from the start and end hotels on the tour dates. Additional transfers to other hotels or on different dates may incur extra charges. Please book transfers with your travel agent at least two weeks before the tour starts.
- Ha Long Bay boat trips may change due to adverse weather, especially during the monsoon season (October to April). Local authorities oversee the trips and may shorten or rearrange the itinerary for safety reasons. Our local team is prepared with alternative options if needed.

Is this trip right for you? - Lots of time allocated for optional activities means freedom and flexibility, but it does require a level of independence.
- Only a few meals are included, so mostly you'll find your own (with plenty of suggestions from your leader of course) – a great way to mingle with locals and discover unexpected delights! There are also lots of recommended optional activities if you wish, or just time to soak up the sun and kick back on the countless beautiful beaches.
- Experience travel in a variety of different ways, using private mini vans and local transport like overnight sleeper trains, longtail boats, speed boats, and even kayaks
